Life Time Achievement Award by Onobrakpeya, Nike Okundaye, Guardian Editor for NGA Awards April 18th 2023
The National Gallery of Arts (NGA) honoured one of the artists who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of visual arts subsector in particular and the arts sector in general. Legendary artist, Prof. Bruce Onobrakpeya will be bestowed with Lifetime Achievement award.

Other awardees at the high-octane event organized by National Gallery of Art (NGA) are: Thought Pyramid, Gallery of the Year, “for setting the pace in gallery management in Nigeria and exceptional promotion of modern art in the country;”

For Onobrakpeya, it was a double celebration as he was just honoured by Georgia State Assembly, United States for his exemplary career as artist and role model.Also honoured was Chief Nike Okundaye, who received the Outstanding Visual Arts Personality of the Year Award. Mrs Okundaye is very adept in textile designs in adire and batik.
At retreat, NGA explores 21st century management skill
The highpoints of the two-day retreat organised by the National Gallery of Art in Abuja recently emphasis the changing dynamics of the 21st century that requires managers with modern mindset in the workplace to be agile, proactive, analytical, self-directed, problem solvers, team players and technologically savvy.

Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) has bestowed its prestigious Distinguished Service Award on the Director-General, National Gallery of Art (NGA), Chief Ebeten William Ivara. The investiture took place in Abuja last week during the inauguration of the 11th President and executive members of the SNA.
