Job creation is not only a mandate of the National Gallery of Art in line with Presidential priorities and Ministerial Deliverables but also a strong personal passion of its Director General, Ahmed Bashir Sodangi. Speaking at the event, the DG emphasized NGA’s commitment to adding value to the sector through meaningful collaborations. He highlighted that the MoU with AIDOS is focused on capacity building, facilitating access to finance, generating employment, and supporting young creatives, digital training and creative art marketing

Sodangi noted that the decision to partner with AIDOS was made after series of robust productive discussions with its founder, Oyewole Joledo. This decision was further reinforced after visits to AIDOS creative hub in Abuja, where he witnessed firsthand, their dedication to training and supporting emerging creatives. He expressed confidence that the partnership would not only lead to tangible job creation but also generate verifiable data to track progress.
He further explained that the collaboration would benefit staff of all 25 NGA outstations, particularly those in the Information Services department
In her remarks, Pamela Williams, CEO of AIDOS, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership. She emphasized AIDOS’s commitment to telling powerful stories that drive visibility and impact for individuals, businesses, and organizations such as the NGA. Williams also spoke about AIDOS’s “Creative Circle,” a vibrant community of around 200 members who benefit from training, grants, scholarships, and workshops. She expressed eagerness to support the NGA’s mission through this initiative.
