NGA Partners with Five Cowries to Expand Art Education and Cultural Exchange

The National Gallery of Art (NGA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Five Cowries Arts Education Initiative (FCAEI) to promote Nigerian art, foster cultural exchange, and support artistic innovation. The key objectives of the partnership include developing art clubs for underprivileged and privileged school children, organizing workshops and programs to promote Nigerian art and artists, and providing opportunities for artistic innovation and creativity.

Highlights of the partnership include revamping and expanding the NGA’s Saturday Art Club, establishing artist residency programs to support innovation and creativity, and having the NGA’s Education Department work closely with Five Cowries to develop a unified theme for the Saturday Art Club.
